  1.02 SECTION INCLUDES

  A. Infloor High Capacity components
  B. Infloor tubing
  C. Primary boiler loop, circulating pump, and system controls
  D. System treatment

  1.03 SUBMITTALS

  A. Product Data: Provide for manufactured products and assemblies including installation recommendations and rough-in dimensions.

  B. Operating and Maintenance Instructions: Include manufacturer's descriptive literature, operating instructions, maintenance and repair data, and parts description.

  1.04 WARRANTY

  A. Provide twenty-five (25) year manufacturer's warranty for Infloor tubing, ten (10) year manufacturer's warranty for manifold body, and one (1) year manufacturer's warranty for other Infloor components.

  A. Installer's Qualifications: Installation of Infloor Heating System shall be by a trained Infloor dealer.

  B. Pressure Test: Provide hydrostatic test of primary loop, manifolds, and tubing to 100 psig (689.5 kPa) for 30 minutes. The Infloor High Capacity components are rated for 100 psig (689.5 kPa), -40 to 200 degrees F (-40 to 93.3 degrees C) operational.

  1.06 DELIVERY AND STORAGE HANDLING

  A. General Requirements: Materials shall be delivered in their original, unopened packages, and protected from exposure to the elements. Damaged or deteriorated materials shall be removed from the premises.

PART 2 PRODUCTS
  2.01 MATERIALS

  A. Infloor High Capacity components: Furnish and install snowmelt distribution manifolds that include temperature gauges on supply and return manifold modules, contaminant screen and flow indicators on supply modules, 1" stainless steel isolation ball valve on supply and return modules with balancing adjustment for each circuit, and a module CV rating of 14.4 or greater. Balance each circuit to maintain even temperature drop in loops. Infloor High Capacity components to be furnished by Infloor Sales & Service Center.

  B.  Infloor tubing: Radiant tubing shall be _______________ (Choose one of the following: Infloor barrier cross-linked polyethylene [BPEX], orInfloor cross-linked polyethylene [PEX]. Tubing to be furnished by Infloor Sales & Service Center and is to be installed in complete accord to manufacturer's instructions.

    1.  Infloor barrier cross-linked polyethylene (BPEX) as provided: nominal 3/4" (inch) [19 mm] inside diameter with an nominal 1" (inch) [25 mm] outside diameter with a wall thickness of 0.118 " (inch) [3 mm], rated for 100 psig (689.5 kPa) at 180 degrees F (82.2 degrees C) with an external ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) oxygen diffusion barrier allowing no more than 0.1 gram per cubic meter per day (0.1g/m3/d).

    2.  Infloor cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) as provided: nominal 3/4" (inch) [19 mm] inside diameter with an nominal 1" (inch) [25 mm] outside diameter with a wall thickness of 0.118 " (inch) [3 mm], rated for 100 psig (689.5 kPa) at 180 degrees F (82.2 degrees C).

  C.  Primary boiler loop, circulating pump, snowmelt and system controls: Primary circulating loop and controls shall be supplied by others with sufficient system water flow to provide boiler supply temperature between 140 degrees F (60.0 degrees C) to 180 degrees F (82.2 degrees C) with a 20 degree F (11 degree C) maximum temperature drop between primary loop supply and return piping and up to 130 degrees F (54.4 degrees C) to the snowmelt distribution manifolds.

  D.  System Treatment: Install Infloor system treatment, a borate-nitrite corrosion inhibitor in concentration of 1400 ppm (one [1] quart {0.95 liter} treatment per twenty-five [25] gallons {95 liters}water) as provided. Snowmelt applications require the addition of propylene glycol for freeze protection. Consult propylene glycol supplier's information for proper concentration for local conditions.
